Finish a habit.
Your goal just moved forward.

Retic links your goals and daily habits in one tree.

Complete anything at the bottom, and progress rolls up to the top — automatically.

Early sign-ups get a discount.

A familiar loop.

Busy every day,
with nothing to show for it.

You installed three habit apps, then deleted them all.
You wrote your goals in Notion and never opened it again.
One broken streak, and your motivation went with it.

The checks pile up, but you never see where they go.

Why I'm building it

I deleted every habit app I owned, too.

The checks kept piling up while my life stayed the same. I wanted to see today's work lead to something bigger — so I'm building Retic. Until launch, I'm shaping it with people who felt the same.

How it links

What you finish
rolls up to the goal

01

Break the goal down

Split a big goal into smaller goals, then into today's habits and tasks.

02

Put habits and tasks under it

Link the habits you repeat and the tasks you finish once to the goal.

03

Finish, and the goal moves closer

Complete one at the bottom and the goal above moves closer by that much.

Measured differently

Weight by the number,
quitting by the days smoke-free.

Goals measure four ways — milestone, number, done/not-done, consistency. Habits measure four ways — check, count, avoid, roll-up. We don't force different goals into the same checkbox.

Four ways to measure a goal

Number

Start value → target (−5kg, 12 books)

85kg79kg target

Milestone

Rolls up automatically from sub-item completion

Draft outline
2 mock exams
Review notes

Consistency

Average completion of sub-habits over a period

Done / Not

Just did or didn't (a certification)

DoneNot
Four ways to track a habit

Check

One check when done (meditate, walk)

Done today

Count

Log up to a daily target (2L of water)

1.4 / 2L

Avoid

Log only the days you slipped (quit smoking)

······
6-day hold

Roll-up

Done when its sub-tasks are all done

2 / 2 done

Build it fast — with keyboard shortcuts or the mobile toolbar, whichever fits.

Off-track is fine

Plans wobble.
The goal stays.

Enter a start, a target, and a deadline, and Retic works out the pace you need. Every day it tells you if you're on track or behind. Behind? Push harder or move the deadline — you adjust instead of quitting, and you finish.
